Ongoing Activities

    Steve Nyman Cat Caricature
  • Caricaturist: New for 2016 - Steve Nyman can make a picture from you, your phone or photo. Steve is a very talented artist from Denville, NJ. Bring yourself, your cat (show entries only) or a photo for Steve to work from. You will be glad you did.

Visit Steve's website for other samples of his work.
  • Adopt-A-Cat: Special gifts are available to the first few cats that are adopted.
  • Shelter Cat Contest: To bring attention to the shelter cats that are available for adoption, there is a judging each day, and show attendees enjoy the presentations for the best whiskers, longest tail, etc.
  • Truffles
  • Feline Agility: Loads of fun! Enter YOUR cat! Watch fleet-footed Household Pets and pedigreed cats run through a course of obstacles, competing for the fastest time and prizes. Watch a video on how it's done: http://agility.cfa.org. Read more about it on the Feline Agility page.
  • “Meet the Breeds” event: Emcee CFA Judge Sharon Roy presents many of the recognized pedigreed cat breeds to the public. She entertains her audience with information about each breed's distinguishing characteristics, their personalities and unique needs. She also talks about the patterns and types of cat coats that may be seen in rescues, household pets, and in pedigreed cats.
  • Shopping: Vendors showcasing cat trees, litter, cat foods, toys, grooming supplies, and cat-themed gifts abound. Over 40 vendors were present each of the past several years. The show is a great place to find special items for cats or the "purr-fect" gift for cat lovers.
  • Face painting by Lynxx Entertainment Both kids and adults will love the artistry of our face painter!
  • Cat Show: Watch 250 or more pedigreed cats and household pets compete for rosettes. Many of the cats shown here will go on to be regional and national winning cats. Ambassador cats will be roaming the show hall and available to be petted.
  • Emergency Preparedness Somerset County Animal Response Team will be distributing information.
